How I work

Each front answers a different kind of decision, but all of them start from the same standard: stay until the implementation actually works.

Two ways of working

Advisory

An ongoing relationship. I'm available as decisions arise: I accompany, flag risks, contribute judgement, and know the organisation from the inside. No deliverable, no exit date; the value is in continuity. This is how I have worked with Santo Domingo Cyber Park for more than twenty years.

Consulting

A defined engagement. A specific problem, a diagnosis, a deliverable and a deadline. I come in, produce, and leave capacity behind with the team that continues. The value is in the output and the outside perspective.

Often it begins as consulting and becomes advisory. We decide based on what your organisation needs to sustain.

01 — Artificial intelligence

AI Applied to Business Processes

Practical adoption of artificial intelligence in organisations. The starting point is not the tool but the process: where the decision is made, what information supports it, and at which point AI contributes something verifiable.

The engagement runs from strategy through to real implementation, alongside the team that will operate it afterwards.

Scope

  • Assessment of processes and AI opportunities
  • Definition of the adoption strategy
  • Implementation within business processes
  • Support for the team during roll-out
02 — Legal judgement

Legal Judgement in Technology Decisions

I hold a law degree. What I bring to a technology decision is the ability to see where liability is being created before it is created: what the supplier's contract actually says, where the data will live, who answers if the system fails, and who owns what the tool produces.

That judgement is brought in at the start of the project, not at the end. It is what allows a decision to be made knowing where the risk sits, rather than discovering it once it can no longer be moved.

When a matter requires representation or a formal legal opinion, I say so and refer it to a practising lawyer. My job is to get you to that conversation knowing what to ask.

Scope

  • Risk-aware review of contracts with technology and AI suppliers
  • Internal policies on the use of artificial intelligence
  • Legal perspective on data handling and intangible assets in technology projects
  • Reading of the applicable regulatory framework against the specific decision
03 — Innovation

Innovation and Institutional Transformation

More than 20 years advising Santo Domingo Cyber Park (PCSD) —the park and the companies based there— and 10 years as Northern Region Director at the Institute of Technology of the Americas (ITLA). That track record is what I bring to the table: how an institution actually moves internally, what holds it back, and what it takes for an innovation plan to stop being a document.

Training in Quality Management (Japan, 2005) and the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) of the Korea Development Institute (Seoul, 2011), together with a Master of Science in Education, specialising in School Management, gives that work method and not just experience.

Scope

  • Institutional innovation strategy
  • Support for technology and innovation ecosystems
  • Quality management applied to institutional operations
04 — Leadership

Leadership and Decision-Making at Executive Level

Advisory to the chief executive and their leadership team, for when transformation stops being a project and becomes a responsibility. I do not train leaders: I work with those who already are, on the decisions that allow no rehearsal.

The work happens where decisions are made: what gets approved, what gets stopped and what holds when the organisation pushes back. I do not bring a methodology to apply, but judgement to accompany decisions already on the table.

Scope

  • Advisory to the chief executive
  • Support for the leadership team on transformation decisions
  • External challenge before irreversible decisions
